Siphon Filter is a computer game series by the Japanese console manufacturer and publisher Sony Computer Entertainment , which is relocating the brand for its PlayStation product family.

description

The name of the series is derived from the name of a bioweapon that is a central element of the game plot. The siphon filter can be used specifically to kill previously selected demographic groups. The series portrays Logan's continued efforts to prevent criminal syndicates from making and using the weapon. In doing so, he faces influential conspiracy groups.

The concept for developing a spy action game was originally created by Sony and was commissioned by the development studio Eidetic . At that time, Sony was looking for a product that could compete with the successful Nintendo title GoldenEye 007 . After the successful debut, Sony Computer Entertainment took over the studio in 2000 and renamed it Sony Computer Entertainment Bend Studio. The event is presented from a third-person perspective . Siphon Filter is a stealth computer game in which the aim is to avoid open confrontations. Therefore, appropriate mechanics such as a cover system are included in later titles . The first two games already sold over a million times.
