The Syrianska Idrottsförening Kerburan is a Swedish football club from Västerås .
history
The association was founded in 1977 under the name Kerburan by Aramaic immigrants from Turkey. Initially, the team only played in the lower-class regional area of the Swedish league pyramid. In 1993 the club gave itself its name, Syrianska IF Kerburan, which is still valid today .
In 2002 Syrianska IF Kerburan was runner-up in the fifth division Division 4 Västmanland . In the subsequent promotion round, the team was group winners and thus reached the fourth level. There she established herself right away in the front of the table and in 2005 managed to qualify for the fourth-class Division 2 Norra Svealand as third in the table in Division 3 Östra Svealand . After the runner-up in this league in 2007 behind IK Brage , the team achieved the relay victory in the following year and thus rose to the third-class Division 1 . There she missed in the first two years of their league membership in each case as third in the table, the promotion to the second-rate Superettan .

Wenströmska IP was originally the venue for the home games of Syrianska IF Kerburan. After the team was promoted to third-class Division 1, they have been moving to Swedbank Park, which offers 7,044 places, since the 2009 season .
