The Szent György-hegy , German Sankt-Georgs-Berg , is a mountain in the municipality of Tapolca , not far from Lake Balaton , in Hungary . It is of volcanic origin and basalt walls can be seen in several places. Several hiking trails lead up, including a blue-marked circular trail that begins at the Lengyel-kápolna chapel on the southern slope of the mountain. There are picnic benches and a viewing table on the summit. From here you have a panoramic view of Lake Balaton, the city of Tapolca and several other mountains of volcanic origin, including the Badacsony .
