The Tálknafjörður is a fjord in the West Fjords of Iceland . It is north of Patreksfjörður and south of Arnarfjörður .
The fjord extends 16 kilometers into the country and is up to five and a half kilometers wide. The Bíldudalsvegur only circles the innermost fjord
. From it branches off on the south bank of Lambeyrarvegur 6181 with a length of a good five kilometers. The north bank opens up the Tálknafjarðarvegur
for ten kilometers, which after three kilometers crosses the place Tálknafjörður . Along with Patreksfjörður and Arnarfjörður, this fjord belongs to the southern fjords of the Westfjords ( isl. Suðurfirðir Vestfjarða ).
