Fatal Beauty (AKA: Beauty Queen Murders ) was an American crime film - documentary series that from October 1, 2013 to November 3, 2014, the American broadcaster Investigation Discovery was erstausgestrahlt.
The German-language first broadcast took place from May 31, 2014 to August 18, 2016 on the German channel TLC Germany .
concept
The program deals with criminal cases whose deaths became famous through their participation in beauty pageants. Scenes are re-enacted using original photos and videos, as well as contributions from television news and interviews with those involved.
One case is dealt with per episode.
Production and broadcast
Deadly Beauty was a production by Optomen Productions for Investigation Discovery .
In April 2013, Investigation Discovery announced several new True Crime formats, including Beauty Queen Murders . The broadcast started on October 1, 2013.
The first six-part season aired on Investigation Discovery every Tuesday at 10 p.m. from October 1 to November 5 .
In April 2014, a second six-part season was announced, which was finally shown every Tuesday at 9 a.m. from September 30 to November 3, 2014.
The television program was shown in Spain , Hungary and Italy with local translation.
German-speaking area
The German-language first broadcast of the first season took place from May 31 to July 5, 2014 on Saturdays at 10 p.m. on the German channel TLC Germany . The second season was shown in German for the first time from July 14 to August 18, 2016 every Thursday at 10 p.m., also on TLC .
In Switzerland, the first nine episodes in November and December 2016 were broadcast on Wednesdays at 11 p.m. and the remaining three episodes in January 2017 on Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. on private channel S1 .
The translation and broadcast in German-speaking countries was not based on the original classification of the episodes.
