The Mallory Bluff is a striking cliff in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain , it rises northeast of the head end of the Wahl glacier on the northwest slope of the Grindley Plateau .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the cliff in 1966 after Roger P. Mallory Jr. (* 1930), a meteorologist for the United States Antarctic Research Program at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1962 and at Wilkes Station the following year.
