The Grindley Plateau is an ice-covered high plateau in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain it is bordered by Mount Mackellar , Mount Bell and Mount Kirkpatrick .
It is named after the New Zealand geologist George Grindley, a member of the Northern Group of a campaign carried out from 1960 to 1961 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition .
