Mount Mackellar is a 4295 m high and massive mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises 5 km southeast of Pagoda Peak at the head of the Mackellar Glacier in the Queen Alexandra chain of the Transantarctic Mountains .
Participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907-1909), led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, discovered him. The mountain is named after Campbell Duncan Mackellar (1859–1925), a private donor to support the expedition.
