The Pagoda Peak is a 3040 m high and towering mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain it rises 5 km north of the Mackellar Inlet between the formation zones of the Tillit and Montgomerie glaciers .
It was named by participants in a campaign carried out from 1961 to 1962 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition after its shape reminiscent of a pagoda .
