Antipop is the sixth studio album by the band Primus . It was released in 1999 by Interscope Records .

Antipop is the last album by the band Primus before the band's three-year break from 2000 to 2003. It is also the last album with drummer Bryan Mantia . The album was created in collaboration with well-known guest musicians and producers, including Tom Waits , James Hetfield ( Metallica ), Jim Martin ( Faith No More ), Fred Durst ( Limp Bizkit ) and Tom Morello ( Rage Against the Machine ).

The two singles Lacquer Head and Electric Uncle Sam were released from the album released on October 19, 1999 on Interscope Records .

The track Coattails of a Dead Man contains a studio version of The Heckler from the album Suck on This as a hidden track that starts after 6 minutes, 16 seconds. After about 38 seconds, The Antipop contains the phrase “They're here” from the film Poltergeist .
