Before the start of the recordings regular to their next studio album Pork Soda took Primus a number of cover versions on. The EP Miscellaneous Debris contains five covers of songs by different bands.
On the EP, bassist and singer Les Claypool only uses his fretless six-string Rainbow Bass by bass builder Carl Thompson .
The single Making Plans for Nigel was extracted from the EP .
