The Tønsbergfjord ( Norwegian : Tønsbergfjorden ) is a fjord in the south of Norway , which extends between the Norwegian mainland and the two islands of Nøtterøy and Tjøme in the province ( Fylke ) Vestfold og Telemark .

The Tønsbergfjord is located south of the southern Norwegian town of Tønsberg . It stretches for about 25 kilometers and separates the two islands of Nøtterøy and Tjøme (both Færder municipality ) from the mainland, where the municipality of Sandefjord is located. In its northern section there is a connection to the Oslofjord and also between Nøtterøy and Tjøme further south.
The width of the fjord varies between five kilometers in the south and 300 meters in the inner part. There are several islands in the broader area, Veierland and Hui being the largest.
