Türkgünü, 2003

Türkgünü ( Turkish 'Turkish Day') was a Turkish-European cultural festival that has been held annually in Berlin since 2002 .

12,000 people attended the founding event in 2002. The street des 17. Juni between the Brandenburg Gate and the Kleiner Stern has so far served as the festival mile .

In addition to Turkish music and art from Germany such as Turkey (musicians such as Muhabbet from Berlin or Haluk Levent from Turkey), the culinary program was also an important element of the festival, which wanted to present the German Turks as part of German society.

In 2007, Switzerland's first Turkish Day was celebrated under the same name in the National Museum in Zurich .

After 2007, another Türkgünü took place in Berlin in 2011 .
