Tōkyō Kōsei Wind Orchestra
The Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra ( Japanese 東京佼成ウインドオーケストラ Tokyo Kosei Uindo Ōkesutora shortly TKWO) is a symphonic band , which from the Buddhist on May 3, 1960 Risshō Kōsei Kai with 20 members under the name "Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra" ( 東京佼成吹奏 楽 団 , Tōkyō Kōsei Suisōgakudan ) was founded. It is counted among the best symphonic wind orchestras in the world.

In December 1973 the orchestra was renamed the Tōkyō Kōsei Wind Orchestra . It has been under the direction of Ōi Takeshi since 2014.
The TKWO went on numerous concert tours; the first European tour in 1989 led to Austria, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Switzerland. In 1993 a concert tour led to Switzerland, in 1999 the Millennium Concert Tour to Taiwan took place. In 2002 he went on an Asian tour through Taiwan, Singapore and Macao and made his first concert tour to the USA. There the orchestra performed two concerts at the 56th annual Midwest Clinic in Chicago . The first appearance in Germany took place in 2010 in Ulm.
Guest conductors included Alfred Reed , Arnald Gabriel, Robert Jager , Thomas Sanderling .
The orchestra has released more than 300 CDs.
