Tōru Kawashima ( Japanese 川島 透 , Kawashima Tōru ; born June 4, 1970 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Kawashima learned to play soccer on the school team at Konko Daiichi High School and the university team at Chukyo University . He signed his first contract with Matsushita Electric in 1991 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League . With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, Matsushita Electric became Gamba Osaka . In 1996 he moved to the second division club Otsuka Pharmaceutical . For the club he completed 50 games. At the end of 1998 he ended his career as a football player.
