Tōru Morikawa ( Japanese 森川 徹 , Morikawa Tōru ; born June 29, 1966 in Ishikawa Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Morikawa learned to play football on the university team at Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences . He signed his first contract with Matsushita Electric in 1990 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League . In 1990 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, Matsushita Electric became Gamba Osaka . In 1994 he moved to the second division club Kyoto Purple Sanga . At the end of 1994 he ended his career as a football player.
