The Tərəqqi Medal ( Azerbaijani : “Tərəqqi” medalı , in German: Medal of Progress or Progress Medal ) is a medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan .

history

On November 10, 1992, the National Assembly of Azerbaijan approved Decree No. 370 of the second Azerbaijani President Əbülfəz Elçibəy on "the establishment of orders and medals of the Republic of Azerbaijan" ( Azərbaycan Respublikasının orden və medallarının təqsi- edilməsi haqsis edilməsi foundation ) Medal provided. With the Decree no. 758 of the third Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev of 6 December 1993 on the "Approval of the Statute and the description of the Tərəqqi Medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan" ( Azərbaycan Respublikasının "Tərəqqi" medalının Əsasnaməsinin və təsvirinin təsdiq edilməsi haqqında ) was the Medal officially donated.

The first revision of the Tərəqqi Medal was made on February 6, 1998 by Amending Decree No. 429-IQD. With Decree No. 727-IVQD of September 30, 2013, the Tərəqqi medal received a revision for the second time. On October 6, 2015, the Amending Decree No. 1368-IVQD replaced the words “public education” ( xalq təhsili ) with the words “law, education” ( hüquq, təhsil ) in the award criteria .

Award criteria and wearing style

"1. The 'Tərəqqi' medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan is awarded to the citizens of Azerbaijan, foreign citizens and stateless persons:

for their successes in the field of industry and agriculture;
of great importance for inventions and innovative improvements;
for special achievements in the fields of science, culture, literature, art, law, education and health;
for special achievements in the construction and reconstruction of the national economy;
for their successes in sport and in physical education.

2. The 'Tərəqqi' medal is worn on the left side of the chest and in the presence of other orders and medals of the Azerbaijan Republic after the 'İgidliyə-görə' medal. "
