TD Reda

TD Reda (born June 6, 1964 in Essen ) is a German writer.

Life

At the age of 14, Reda left secondary school without a qualification and began an apprenticeship as a mining mechanic at the Zeche Zollverein . He finished training three years later and went back to school. At the vocational school for technology and later at the technical college, he completed his high school diploma in order to study mechanical engineering at the University of GHS Essen . After two semesters, however, he broke off his studies, did his community service at the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) in Oberhausen and then studied business administration in Essen. During his studies Reda also worked as a tour companion for the musicians Long John Baldry , Culture Beat and Running Wild . He completed his studies in 1996 and then worked as a freelancer in a music & marketing agency, before becoming self-employed as a communications consultant in the healthcare sector in 1998. During this time he was u. a. three years editor of the newspaper: "Die Gesundheitsnachrichten". In 2007 his first novel was published: "The Night of Miracles". In the same year he began his work as a lecturer in Bochum. In 2010 his second novel was published: “Under the Zweigert Bridge”. Reda has been working exclusively as a writer since 2011. He lives in Essen.

What happened if ...? Reda deals with this question in his novels and stories. What if a miracle happened in a hospital in the Ruhr area? What if suddenly all patients were cured? How would the hospital's doctors and managers react, how would the press and how would the population react? In his novel "The Night of Miracles", published in 2007, Reda answers these questions "to the last consequence" 1 . "With his first work Reda has set a monument to his hometown". 2 In 2010 the novel “Unter der Zweigertbrücke” was published.
