T @ iwan heute is a German-language news website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) , which has been maintained since October 2014 as the follow -up publication to the print medium Taiwan Today . The website aims to inform German-speaking readers about the events in Taiwan.
history
Since 1988, the Government Information Office has published a German-language magazine with information on current developments in the Republic of China on Taiwan. The name was initially Free China and was changed to Taiwan Today in 2000 . After the government information office was dissolved, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took over the publication of the publication. The magazine was published every two months with a circulation of approx. 4000 copies. In the course of restructuring and modernization, the magazine was discontinued as a print medium in September 2014 and replaced by the news website T @ iwan today .

T @ iwan heute offers the latest news, photos and reports from Taiwan focusing on politics, economy, society and culture. Their content, which tends to reflect the official point of view of the Taiwanese government, is largely identical to that of other foreign-language publications in Taiwan, such as the English-language Taiwan Review or the Spanish-language publication Taiwan hoy .
