history

Taiwan Today was published in September 1988 by the Government Information Office (GIO), an authority in the Executive Yuan (Government Cabinet or Council of Ministers) of the Republic of China in Taipei (Taiwan), and is aimed at readers in German-speaking countries. From September 1988 to February 2000 the magazine was entitled "Free China" to highlight the contrast to the dictatorial regime of the Chinese communists in mainland China . Between March 2000 and December 2002 the magazine was called "Taipei Today". Since the dissolution of the GIO on May 20, 2012, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China has acted as the publisher of the magazine. In September 2014, Taiwan was discontinued as a print medium today and replaced by the news website T @ iwan Today .

content
