TAF Helicòpters
TAF Helicòpters SL ( ICAO code : HET) is a Catalan aviation company with its headquarters at Aeropuerto de Sabadell in Spain .
The company, founded in Catalonia in 1959 , is one of the leading helicopter operators in Spain, whose tasks include ambulance and mountain rescue flights, as well as fire fighting and work missions. The company currently operates 21 helicopters - all Eurocopter models - and also takes care of their maintenance. Equal partners are the Catalan Reial Automòbil Club de Catalunya (RACC) and PTT SA Over the years TAF has expanded the maintenance work for the various Eurocopter models.
In 2012 Eurocopter España ( Albacete ) and TAF Helicòpters founded a service and support center for light helicopters. By participating in this new company, Eurocopter will become an important provider of technical services and logistics in the Spanish helicopter industry. Eurocopter España has acquired 80% of the newly founded company Sabadell Helicopters Service Center (SHSC), to which the Catalan company TAF Helicòpters SL has outsourced the repair and maintenance of helicopters. Antonio Ramírez del Pino is the managing director of the new company .
