Leopold Günther-Schwerin
Leopold Karl Gustav Günther-Schwerin (born March 2, 1865 in Hamburg , † 1945 ) was a German landscape painter, sculptor and writer.

Günther-Schwerin studied at the art academy in Düsseldorf and as a student of Theodor Hagens from 1888 to 1893 at the art school in Weimar . From 1893 he was based in Wiesbaden . Günther-Schwerin was a member of the Allgemeine Deutsche Kunstgenossenschaft and co-founder of the pension institution for artists .

Leopold Günther-Schwerin was represented as a painter and sculptor at exhibitions in Berlin and Wiesbaden. He also published some stories in the fantastic magazine Der Orchideengarten . His novel The Kleptomane was republished in 2002.
