The ASS TCR Swiss Trophy is a motorsport racing series organized by Auto Sport Switzerland and will be held for the first time in 2018. It is a purely commercial trophy that will work with other TCR championships in Europe for the 2018 season . In 2020 the TCR Swiss Trophy will be part of the TCR Germany.

history

The ASS TCR Swiss Trophy started for the 2018 season and competed in various TCR championships. In the 2019 season she was supposed to be part of the ADAC TCR Germany, this was canceled due to a lack of participants and postponed to the 2020 season. The season opener for TCR Germany from April 24 to 26, 2020 in Oschersleben has been postponed to October 23 to 25, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

Sporting regulations

2018

Eligible were drivers and / or applicants who had enrolled in a TCR championship for the entire season and held at least FIA level D and C driver licenses. Only vehicles that were in full compliance with the valid technical regulations of the TCR and were approved in accordance with the official TCR homologation were allowed. Provisional homologations were not recognized.

On the race weekend, the races took place within a national TCR championship and were held in two races of 30 minutes each. In 2018 each race was carried out according to the current sporting regulations of the host TCR championship. All applicants or drivers would have to comply with local regulations such as race format, tires and so on. Only drivers who had competed in at least two TCR championships were awarded points for the trophy and only the four best races made it into the final classification of the ASS TCR Swiss Trophy.

2020

Drivers and / or applicants who have registered for the entire season in the TCR Germany Series are eligible to participate. No guest drivers are allowed. Provisional homologations are not recognized. Only vehicles that are in full compliance with the valid technical regulations of the TCR and are approved according to the official TCR homologation are allowed and must comply with the regulations of the TCR Germany Series.

On the race weekend all races take place as part of the TCR Germany Series and are held in two races of 30 minutes each. Each race is carried out according to the current sporting regulations of the TCR Germany Series.

Scoring

Since the 2018 season, points 1 to 10 have been awarded in the following order:

In the 2020 season there are additional points awarded for the qualification ranking from places 1 to 5 in the following order:

Racetracks

The following racetracks will be driven in the 2018 season: Imola (TCR Italy), Zandvoort (TCR BeNeLux), Red Bull Ring (TCR Germany), Assen (TCR BeNeLux) and Monza (TCR Europe). In the 2020 season, all races will take place as part of the TCR Germany Series and the following racetracks will be driven: Oschersleben , Most , Red Bull Ring, Zandvoort, Nürburgring , Hockenheimring and Sachsenring .
