The gymnastics community 1889 Sandhausen (TG Sandhausen) is a sports club from Sandhausen near Heidelberg . The club has, among other things, a basketball , volleyball and table tennis department.
The basketball department was founded in 1969. The currently most successful team is the women's team, which played in the 2nd Bundesliga South until 2014. The men's division plays in the big leagues and just barely missed promotion in 2005.
