The THW orchestra is the federal music train of the Federal Agency for Technical Relief ( THW ).
history
The THW orchestra emerged from the Hermeskeil city band, which was founded in 1919 in Hermeskeil , Rhineland-Palatinate .
The former THW local representative in Hermeskeil, Georg Prösch, took care of the merger of the Hermeskeil town band, which in 1975 first became the Landesmusizug Rheinland-Pfalz and later the Bundesmusikzug of the THW in 1987.
The orchestra plays on all important technical relief events. It also took part in the Steuben Parade in New York City , USA , in 2011 .
