Technical rules for operational safety

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The technical rules for operational safety (TRBS) provide the state of the art, rules for occupational medicine and hygiene, and other secure ergonomic findings for

again. They are determined by the Committee for Industrial Safety and published in the Joint Ministerial Gazette. They used to be published in the Federal Labor Gazette or in the Federal Gazette .

The technical rules for operational safety specify the Industrial Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV) with regard to the determination and assessment of hazards as well as the derivation of suitable measures. When applying the measures mentioned as an example, the employer can assert the presumption of compliance with the provisions of the Industrial Safety Ordinance. If the employer chooses another solution, he has to prove equivalent compliance with the regulation in writing.

Structure of the technical rules

  • 1000 series: Generally applicable rules
  • 2000 series: Hazard-related rules
  • 3000 series: Specific rules for work equipment, systems or activities that require monitoring
