The TROX Switzerland AG develops, produces and sells components and systems in the segment of ventilation and air conditioning for the home and abroad. It is certified according to EN ISO 9001 : 2008 and SVLW and is a subsidiary of the Germany-based TROX GROUP .

The company also conducts research and development in air conditioning and air conditioning , both for planned development work for the individual product groups and for project-related development contracts. The fluid dynamics and acoustics laboratory is used to test the functions, reliability, operational safety and economic efficiency of the products and systems offered.

The documentation created by the company is used in the training of ventilation specialists. In 1974, TROX launched one of the first officially tested fire dampers with a certification mark on the market.

In 2011, the company started producing and selling ventilation and air conditioning devices. At the same time, TROX became a member of the RLT device manufacturers' association.

history

TROX HESCO Schweiz AG was founded in 1863 as H. Hess & Cie. founded. A locksmith's workshop was set up and put into operation by the founder Rudolf Hess in Edikon (Dürnten municipality). Production program: building hardware and hardware.

In 1873 the property in the Pilgersteg in Rüti was acquired. A stamping shop, locksmith's shop, grinding shop and mechanical workshop were set up here and the production of furnace and charcoal irons began. In 1875, the production of shoe nail and chain welding machines was expanded and set up.

In 1918 and 1919 a dam wall was built in the Jona watercourse and an electricity station was built in Hohlauf. In 1950 the manufacture of ventilation accessories began.

As a result of the increased use of rubber soles, shoe nail production was given up in 1958/59, in 1969 the production of air outlets in light metal was expanded and in 1973 the flow and acoustics laboratory, which is still used today, was built.

In 1977 the subsidiary Hesco Sarl was founded in Paris. From 1978 to 2008 the company owned the subsidiary Hesco Deutschland GmbH in Offenbach am Main.

In 1982 Hess & Cie. converted into Hesco Pilgersteg AG, Rüti and in 1993 certification according to ISO 9001 took place for the first time.

In 1995 the hardware and industrial goods activities were sold, and in 1996 the focus on the core business of ventilation components. In 1998 the company was taken over by the TROX GROUP in Neukirchen-Vluyn, Germany, and renamed TROX HESCO Schweiz AG.

In 2011, the company started building and selling ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
