The Turn- und Sportgemeinde 1904/20 Jockgrim eV is a German sports club based in the Rhineland-Palatinate local community Jockgrim within the association of the same name in the district of Germersheim .

history

Established until the post-war period

On March 21, 1920, the club was founded as the 1920 Jockgrim football club , and in the same year the team also took part in matches in the C-class for the first time. At the end of the 1923/24 season, the company was promoted to the B-Class. In the end, they even managed to get through to the A-Class. Between 1931 and 1935 you belonged to the district league until you had to stop playing completely in 1943. After the end of the Second World War , the club was finally re-established on December 22, 1945, but first had to be called the Jockgrim sports club . During the game, the club then returned to the A-class. After the championship in 1946, he was promoted to the then second-class Landesliga Pfalz for the 1946/47 season . This league then became the Landesliga Vorderpfalz for the next season . Here you could hold out for a few more years until you had to relegate at the end of the 1949/50 season with 22:38 points over 14th place.

On January 6, 1950, the club merged with the gymnastics club to form the gymnastics and sports community of Jockgrim , which was then entered in the club register. Due to a division reform, the club was incorporated into the 2nd amateur league for the 1952/53 season. However, this time was only to last until 1954, after which one had to withdraw voluntarily to the A-class for financial reasons. For the 1956/57 season, the promotion to the 2nd amateur league succeeded, but then for a long time it was considered an elevator team , which should culminate in the 1969 season with the descent to the B-class.

1970s to 1990s

The status of the elevator team was then valid until 1973, when the team first spent a long time in the A-class. This time ended with the year 1988, in which the championship title was promoted to the district league. From then on you could stay in the league and eventually even move up to the state league in 1993. After three years, however, you had to return to the district league in 1996. From then on it went down again.

Current time

In the 2003/04 season they played in the district class and finished fourth with 40 points. At the end of the 2006/07 season it went with only 23 points over the 16th place at the end further down into the district league A. In this, however, with 77 points in the following season immediately won the championship and thus the direct promotion. At the end of the 2012/13 season they finished second in the district class with 62 points behind TuS Schaidt , which allowed the team to take part in the promotion games to the district league. With only one game won you ended up in the middle of the table and thus did not make it up this time. For the next season, the district class became the A class. At the end of this season, TSG finished second again with 64 points. This time there was only one point in the promotion games, which meant that promotion was missed again. The 2014/15 season should finally be finished with 74 points as champions, which saved a promotion round and was allowed to go straight to the district league Vorderpfalz. The club still plays in this league to this day.
