The Biedenkopf gymnastics club is a sports club from Biedenkopf in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district, founded in 1862 . The most successful athletes were the club's volleyball men, who had played in the second division of volleyball for many years . In addition to volleyball, the club also operates table tennis , handball , badminton , gymnastics and various popular sports.

volleyball
The first men's team of TV Biedenkopf was enormously strengthened in the early 1980s and rose to the Second Bundesliga in 1986. Before that, many players from the successful regional league club TSV Hessen had switched to TV Biedenkopf in 1848. In the following years, the team attacked several times for promotion to the elite class, which never succeeded. After relegation in 2003, another relegation from the regional league followed, so that the team currently plays in the major league. Since 2000, there has been a training center for young talents together with the Biedenkopf volleyball talent center , which works with young people and sifts through talent , especially at schools such as the Lahntal School in Biedenkopf .
Table tennis
The table tennis department of TV Biedenkopf was founded in 1990. In 2017 the department had 80 members. In 2010, the team rose from the district league to the district class and in 2011 reached the district league. The youth played at times in the Hessen League.
Handball
The active handball players of TV Biedenkopf founded the HSG Hinterland on April 12, 2015 after initial discussions in 2014 with TV Buchenau and TV Gladenbach . The first teams of the men and women each play in the district league C.
