The TV Vader ( stylized as EPOCH TV VADER ) is a stationary game console of the first console generation , which was released by the Japanese toy and game console manufacturer Epoch-sha in 1980 exclusively in Japan at a price of 15,000 or 16,500 yen . It is the successor to the Cassette TV Game and the predecessor of the Cassette Vision . Only a non-expandable game, a color clone of Space Invaders , is preinstalled on the system. For the Cassette Vision, this game was ported a year later, in 1981, under the name Battle Vader in the form of a game module .
