T Aurigae

T Aurigae was a nova that lit up in the constellation Carter in 1891 . It reached 3.8 mag and its brightness decreased by 3 mag in 100 days. Today T Aurigae is 15 mag bright.

The name part "T" follows the rules for naming variable stars and says that T Aurigae is the third variable star that was discovered in the constellation Carter ( Auriga in Latin ).
