Tobacco log

A Tabakoloog (Flemish, the French equivalent is tabacologue ) is a licensed service provider in Belgium that helps people with nicotine addiction to quit smoking . Often psychologists , but also doctors (especially lung specialists ) have this special training in tobaccoology .

The importance of tobacco science has increased in recent years with the outlawing of nicotine consumption . Since January 1, 2005 , Belgian compulsory health insurance companies have been paying part of the treatment costs.

There is no comparable recognition in Germany.
