Tabea Zimmermann Gibson (born May 22, 1970 , in Zug ) is a Swiss politician ( ALG ).

Life

Tabea Zimmermann was born on May 22, 1970 in Zug. She grew up in Hünenberg and has lived in Zug since 1998. Zimmermann studied history, English literature and linguistics at the University of Zurich , the University of Bern and in Stoke-on-Trent ( Great Britain ). Since 1998 she has been working as a canton school teacher at the canton school Alpenquai Luzern , where she is the student council and president of the canton school teachers' association of the canton school. Tabea Zimmermann Gibson is also the internship manager for English on behalf of the Lucerne University of Education and the University of Zurich. She is married and has two children.

Tabea Zimmermann Gibson ran as a non-party candidate for the Great Local Council (Parliament) in the city of Zug and was elected on October 5th. The election to the Cantonal Council of Zug took place on October 7, 2018. In the election of the Council of States in autumn 2019 , she lost in the second ballot on November 17, 2019. Tabea Zimmermann Gibson has been Vice President of the Zug Municipal Council since 2019.

Zimmermann is co-president of Alternative - the Green Zug City of Zug and a member of the executive board of Alternative - the Green Zug.
