The Table Bay is a small glacier in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the southern section of the Queen Alexandra chain, it flows between Mount Augusta and Mount Holloway in an easterly direction to the Beardmore Glacier , which it reaches at Lizard Point .
The south pole group of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) under the direction of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott named it after its bay-shaped appearance. Despite the misleading name for a glacier, it has been preserved.
