Tabor (Steyr)
The Steyrer Tabor ( Alter Tabor and Tabor Resthof ) belongs to the cadastral community of Steyr and is located on a hill north of the old town (Inner City). The Taborfriedhof , the Taborurm and the municipal crematorium at the urn cemetery are located here. The district also forms its own parish Tabor-St. Family . The old Tabor and the northeastern Tabor Resthof border on the districts of Steyrdorf , Stein, Schlüsselhof Ort, Steyr-Gleink and Winkling / Hausleiten.
From 1960 the Austrian writer Marlen Haushofer lived at Taborweg 19 (previously in the old town, Pfarrgasse 9). Until 2001 there was a garrison of the Austrian Armed Forces in Rooseveltstrasse / Kaserngasse
