Tagblatt Cup
The Tagblatt-Pokal was an annual Viennese league championship in football, the first of its kind in Austria . It was held three times between 1900 and 1903 , each time won by the Vienna AC. It is considered to be the forerunner of today 's Bundesliga in Austria.
The Tagblatt-Pokal was launched in 1900 by the well-known Viennese daily newspaper " Neues Wiener Tagblatt " and was advertised for Viennese clubs. With the Challenge Cup , which was to exist until 1911, there was already a cup competition in the entire monarchy since 1897 . The Tagblatt Cup consisted of two league classes. In the top division, the 1st class, five (in the first season only four) teams played, the remaining clubs were divided between the 2nd class A and B. The winners of these classes played for the Tagblatt Cup the next year, the last two of the 1st class had to relegate to the 2nd class. However, this rule has not been applied regularly for various reasons. In the last year of the cup, for example, a relegation was held.
The organization of the Tagblatt Cup had to struggle with numerous difficulties. Games had to be canceled several times due to darkness and the rest of the time had to be played. Such games were popularly known as "chopping matches". Furthermore, after a season had already been decided, some teams stopped playing irrelevant games. In the fourth season the Tagblatt Cup finally came to an end, as several teams left the association.

Newcomers:
AC Viktoria Wien was also assigned to 1st class, but initially decided not to participate. When the club entered the championship in spring 1901, it had to start in the 2nd class. Vienna Cricket was no longer represented in the following season.
