The Taiwanese carpet shark ( Cirrhoscyllium formosanum ) is a real shark from the collar carpet shark family . He lives around Taiwan in the Northwest Pacific .
features
The species is very elongated and slender, and reaches a length of 39 cm. She wears barbels on her neck and six darker saddles on her back. The saddles at the level of the abdomen are oval and reach down to the dorsal fins. The mouth is in front of the eyes. It has 159 to 167 dorsal vertebrae , 112 to 117 without caudal vertebrae.
Way of life
The Taiwan carpet shark lives on the continental shelf above the bottom at depths of about 110 m. Little is known about its diet. It is oviparous and harmless to humans.
