Takashi Yabe

Takashi Yabe ( Japanese 矢 部 孝 , Yabe Takashi ; * 1950 ) is a Japanese inventor and engineer .

Life

Yabe studied at the Tokyo Technical University in the Faculty of Engineering, which he graduated in 1973. After he received his doctorate there, he went to Osaka University in 1981 , where he was a lecturer at the Laser Fusion Research Center ( レ ー ザ ー 核融合 研究 セ ン タ ー , Rēzā kakuyūgō kenkyū sentā ). There he became assistant professor in 1985. In 1995 he returned to his alma mater, where he was given a full professorship. His research focus is on the experimental investigation of the interaction between lasers and matter.

He developed the MAGIC motor , which will generate energy in the future based on the magnesium components stored in the world's oceans.
