Takida (spelling: tAKiDA) is a Swedish rock band from Ånge in Västernorrland, founded in 1999 .

history

The band was founded in 1999 by Robert Pettersson and Fredrik Holm and Tomas Wallin. The name goes back to the character Gohei Takeda from the Japanese anime series Nagareboshi Gin . The first demo was back in 2000 with the title Old , but the breakthrough in Sweden only came in January 2006 with the song Losing and in April 2006 with the album Make you breathe .

The second studio album Bury the lies was the biggest success so far and made the band known all over Scandinavia, especially the song Curly Sue , which was in the local charts for a few weeks.
