Minakami Takitarō
Minakami Takitarō ( Japanese 水上 滝 太郎 ; aka: Abe Shōzō ( 阿 部 章 蔵 ); * December 6, 1887 in Tokyo ; † March 23, 1940 ) was a Japanese writer, critic and playwright.
Minakami was born as the fourth son of Taijirō Yasuda , the founder of the life insurance company Meiji Yasuda Seimei Hoken . Like his father, Takitarō studied at Harvard University in the USA, graduated in economics and traveled to Europe for a long time. In his novels like Ōsaka no yado , he mainly described the life of employees ( sarariman ). His essays, written between 1918 and 1939, were published under the title Kaigara tsuihō .
