Scout (sport)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Scout or Sports Scout ( Engl. For spies') is an employee of a sports club , the games and players of the opposing teams observed to obtain proprietary information and not be limited to public information. The coach uses this information to prepare and prepare his team for an opponent. Large teams employ several such observers, often former coaches or players.

Alternatively, a scout is also a talent sifter, i.e. a person who is present at various games in order to find new talents or players who can help the club. In North America they watch college sport , either on behalf of a club or a major league, such as the NBA . In European football , youth leagues and / or lower leagues are mostly observed.
