The Talgjefjordtunnel / Finnøytunnel is a einröhriger road tunnel between Hanasand and Ladstein and Østabø in the municipality of Stavanger in the province ( Fylke ) Rogaland . The tunnel in the course of Fylkesvei 519 (Finnøytunnel) is 5685 meters long , the branch to the island of Talgje ( Talgjefjord tunnel) is 1467 meters long. This is only one lane and has meeting places. It is the only submarine tunnel in Norway with a branch (roughly in the middle). The deepest point is about 200 meters below the sea surface.
When the tunnels opened, the Hanasand, Ladstein and Talgje ferry connections were closed.
