Tama Fasavalu is a former Samoan soccer player .

Career

Fasavalu played in 2002 and 2003 for the first-class Kiwi FC , in 2004 for the league competitor Tuanaimato Breeze . The Samoan then moved to the New Zealand second division club Central United , to which he belonged for four seasons. On April 25, 2012, Fasavalu hit the referee in the second division game of his club Manukau City so against the jaw, which was broken three times and required an operation. The Samoan was fined NZ $ 1000  and was banned for life. Fasavalu was also tried in the Manukau District Court for willful assault . There he was sentenced in November 2012 under Restorative Justice to pay compensation of NZ $ 2,000.

In May 2004 Fasavalu came in three qualifying games for the 2006 World Cup for the Samoan national team and scored two goals in a 4-0 win over American Samoa. In March 2002 he had already played at least one game for the national team and scored a goal.
