Tama sumo

Tama Sumo (* Bavarian- Mulhouse as Kerstin Egert ) is a German House - and Techno - DJ .

She studied in Erlangen and came into contact with the Acid House music genre at parties in the neighboring city of Nuremberg . In 1990 she moved to Berlin and became a DJ alongside her job in human resource management. Their first appearance took place in 1993 in the gay and lesbian bar Drama in Kreuzberg . From 1994 she played on the above-ground floor globe in Club Tresor . From 2001 she performed in the Ostgut and since the beginning she has been one of the residents of the Berghain techno club . In 2009 she mixed the compilation Panorama Bar 02 for their label Ostgut Ton .

In 2015, the DJane also appeared on Sziget , where she played "Magic Mirror" at the LBGT series of events.

Her first appearance at the Boiler Room caused a sensation, as she held a same-sex kiss-in in the audience in protest against sexist and homophobic comments on her performance and in the electronic music scene.
