Coordinates: 31 ° 38 ′ S , 117 ° 29 ′ E The Shire of Tammin is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 1103 km² and has about 400 inhabitants (2016).
Tammin is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the southwest of the state about 160 kilometers east of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Tammin, where about 200 inhabitants live (2016).

The Tammin Council has six members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Tammin is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
