LaTanya Chantella White (born September 27, 1982 in Tupelo , Mississippi , United States ) is a professional basketball player. She last played in the 2014 season for the Minnesota Lynx in the Women's National Basketball Association . She currently plays for the Istanbul Universitesi team in the Turkish league and in the Eurocup Women .

Career

college

Tan White played for the Lady Bulldogs, the women's basketball team at Mississippi State University , until 2005 .

Women's National Basketball Association

White was selected second in the 2005 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever . In the 2005 season she was on the field in all Fever season games. She has not made the leap into the starting line-up of Fever in her first season. White played an average of 20.4 minutes per game, during which time she averaged 7.1 points for the Fever. In the 2006 season she was still not part of the starting line-up, but she got a little more playing time, which improved her points average to 8.9 points per game. In the 2007 season she played the entire season again and was in the starting line-up nine times this season, so she was allowed to play in a season game from the beginning for the first time since 2005. White was able to improve further this season and averaged 10.8 points per game, this was also due to the fact that she got a little more playing time with 24.7 minutes per game. White made the leap into the playoffs again with the Fever, but where she was eliminated with the Fever as in 2005 in the Conference Finals. She also played for the Indiana team in 2008 , when she was regularly in the team's starting lineup for the first time.

Before the 2009 season, she moved to the Connecticut Sun team . During her time with the team, she was partly in the starting line-up, but was used more often as a supplementary player.

For the 2014 season, she moved to the Minnesota Lynx team . There she was used in every game, but was only in the starting line-up once. She had the misfortune that the successful team from Minnesota could not reach the WNBA finals for once this season. After the 2014 season, she was initially no longer active in the WNBA.

For several years she was also active for clubs in Europe.
