Tangeni Iijambo

Tangeni Cornelius K. Iijambo , rarely also Iyambo (* in South West Africa ), is a Namibian politician of the SWANU of Namibia (SWANU).

Iijambo has been party chairman of the SWANU since 2017 and thus succeeded Usutuaije Maamberua as a member of the National Assembly . He is particularly committed to environmental protection , foreign policy and economic issues. Before that, Iijambo had been Secretary General of SWANU since 2017 . He took part as a candidate for SWANU in the 2019 presidential election and received 0.7 percent of the vote.

Like his predecessor Usutuaije Maamberua, Iijambo was cautioned by the University of Namibia in 2008 because it was not allowed to hold any partisan office as lecturer at the university. Iijambo holds a Ph.D.
