Tanja May
Tanja May (born February 22, 1947 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German pop singer .
After finishing school, she trained as an interpreter . In the 1960s she was discovered as a singer and in 1966 she applied to the German Schlager Festival , but did not make it to the finals with her title Das Wunder der Liebe .
In the seventies and eighties other hits followed, musically based on the swing style. One of its major achievements was in 1973 Hang on to the sun . In 1976 she was represented in the German airplay hit parade for two weeks with Tanz noch ein Tango mit mir and reached position 36 on December 15, with sometimes a little beat, sometimes a little swing , she was part of it for four weeks in 1977 and reached position on March 20 37. She ended her career.
