Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar
Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar ( Marathi : तन्वी गणेश लोणकर; born March 5, 1995 ) is an Indian actress who became known in 2008 for her role as the teenage Latika in the movie Slumdog Millionaire .
Life
Lonkar was born in Mumbai as the eldest daughter of Ganesh and Sharmila Lonkar. Her mother, Sharmila, works as a technical clerk in a hospital, while her father, Ganesh, works at a bank. Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar has a younger sister.
Lonkar now lives in Milledgeville, Georgia , USA , where she attends Georgia College & State University.
Awards
As a cast member of the film Slumdog Millionaire, Lonkar was honored with the 15th Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture .
