Tanzen im Dreiländereck (also called 3LE for short ) is an international dance sport event that has taken place in Aachen every year since 2003 .

The event was launched on May 3, 2002 by representatives of the four largest dance sport clubs in Aachen, the TSC Grün-Weiß Aquisgrana Aachen , the TSC Schwarz-Gelb Aachen , the Tanzsportzentrum Aachen and the Aachener TSC Blau-Silber . In the meantime, the organizing community consists of the TSC Green-White and the TSC Black-Yellow, which has been merged with the TSC Blue-Silver since 2011, and the TC Black-Red Düren , which has stood in for the retired dance center since 2006.

On several dance floors at the same time, tournaments of all classes for standard and Latin dances are organized over a whole weekend . Thanks to the cooperation with the dance sport associations from the Netherlands and Belgium , it is also possible for couples from all three associations to take part in the tournaments together, which is usually not always possible due to different national regulations. The team of judges is also international.

In addition to the tournaments of the German Dance Sport Association DTV , are at the same time still popular sports tournaments conducted. This was carried out until 2012 in cooperation with Unitanz Aachen, the ballroom dancing department of the joint university sports center of RWTH Aachen University and the FH Aachen , which are open to all university members nationwide and also enable non-tournament athletes to participate. The aim is to promote young talent and to introduce the large number of dancers in university sports to performance-oriented tournament sports. Since 2012, the mass sports tournaments have been held according to the guidelines of the DTV .

Since the 9th event in 2011, the program has been expanded to include the vacant ranking list for senior citizens II S in the standard as part of the annual evening event, which means that all age groups have been advertised since then.
